About the Program
We welcome individuals over 18 years of age who are eligible for DMH services. We strive to provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive space to grow and learn. Our program aims to improve the lives of our participants by providing person-centered support for their specific needs, interests, and goals.
The skills we address at the day program include improving social skills, daily living skills (personal hygiene, household tasks, budgeting, shopping, cooking, etc.), effective communication skills, personal and community safety awareness, physical well-being, and coping with and regulating emotions. We also work with a behavioral support team to assist individuals in being successful in all environments.
We offer volunteer opportunities to build an array of functional skills and give back to our community. Our participants enjoy many activities outside of the day program to promote community integration and provide diverse experiences. Community activities include, but are not limited to, bowling, visiting art and music events, movies, local attractions, community events, and educational outings.
The social experiences gained from our program are unmatched. We promote meaningful, healthy friendships that sometimes last a lifetime. Spending time with peers is invaluable to enhancing the quality of life of individuals. Our staff is also second to none.
