Residential Program

Creating safe, supportive homes where individuals with disabilities can grow and thrive.

About the Program

Living independently is an ambition and a life goal for many. Individuals with developmental disabilities are no different, and the WCP Residential Program exists to assist them with reaching this goal. To meet the varying degrees of support needed, WCP provides three different services through our Residential Program: Individualized Supported Living (ISL). All services in our Residential Program are funded through the Department of Mental Health. Individuals receiving services through this program have a Service Coordinator through the  Regional Office or Targeted Case Management via the Senate Bill 40 Board. The Service Coordinator requests services and funding for our program and ensures WCP is providing services and supports as authorized.

The primary focus of the Residential Program is to assist individuals with obtaining and maintaining their highest level of independence and to provide opportunities for full inclusion into the community. In addition, medical services provided by a registered nurse are available to all qualifying participants in our Residential Program.

About Residential Program

Individualized Supported Living (ISL)

Individuals who receive services through Individualized Supported Living (ISL) live in a community home with 24-hour support and oversight provided by trained staff from our agency. While independence is always encouraged, staff members are available as needed to help individuals meet their personal goals, complete daily living tasks, manage their health, and integrate into the community. Examples of support include meal prep and cooking, exercise activities, home maintenance, money management, budgeting, scheduling appointments, shopping, and community integration.

WCP currently has three ISL homes in our community and plans to develop more. Each ISL home is well-maintained and houses three individuals who have been assessed to be compatible. The homes are fully accommodated to meet the specific needs of each resident. Rent and expenses are shared among the three living in the home.

WCP provides all medical support, including medication administration, annual exams, transportation to and from medical appointments, and any required follow-up appointments. Transportation is also provided for all community access needs.
